Fire Alarm Systems-Foundational Basics Segment 1 Course Description and Learning Objectives

Fire Alarm Systems: Foundational Basics virtual training provides participants the basic principles in Fire Alarms and is segment 1 of a 3-part series. This segment must be taken before moving onto segment 2.

Content includes educating participants with the understanding of standards, codes, testing, & enforcement of Fire Alarm Systems, the history of Fire Alarms, types of Alarm Systems, Fire Alarm System components (including the FACU, Power Sources, Inputs, and Outputs), the functionality of a Fire Alarm Panel, the functionality & types of Input Devices and lastly, the functionality & types of Output Devices.

Attendee Instructions

Please refer to the invite sent by the FED Learning Center for the virtual training attendance link.

Students should log in 5 minutes before the start time to ensure an on-time webinar. Any student who misses more than 10% of the class will be asked to retake the class to be awarded the Certificate of Completion.
