The AHJ – Kitchen Suppression Systems Codes & Overview Virtual Trainingcourse provides AHJ participants an understanding of their role concerning NFPA 17A and NFPA 96 codes and enforcement for Kitchen Suppression Systems. AHJ participants will also gain an understanding of the role a kitchen suppression systems technician plays.
Content includes educating participants with the following topics: What is an AHJ, Working in Commercial Kitchens, Type I and Type II Hoods and Codes for Type I Hoods, Basic Appliance Types, Fundamentals of Fire, Commercial Fire Safety Ecosystem, UL Labeling Overview & Effectiveness, Kitchen System Components, Specifications, Requirements & Controls, Kitchen System Maintenance Requirements, Kitchen System Hydrostatic Testing & Recharging, Non-Compliance Examples.
