The AHJ - Fire Alarm Systems Codes & Overview Virtual Training course provides AHJ participants an understanding of their role concerning NFPA 72 code and enforcement for fire alarms. AHJ participants will also gain an understanding of the role a fire alarm technician plays.

Content includes educating participants with the following topics: What is an AHJ, Commercial Fire Safety Ecosystem: Standards, Codes, Testing & Enforcement, Types & Components of a Fire Alarm System, Functionality & Types using Input & Output devices, Inspection, Testing and Maintenance, Emergency Controls, Emergency Communication Systems, Circuits & Pathways, Design & Placement Inputs & Outputs, Fire Alarm Communications, Carbon Monoxide & Non-Compliant Examples.


Attendee Instructions

The virtual training will take place on the Zoom video conferencing platform. 

Participants will need to sign into their Zoom Account prior to the start of the training or download and install the Zoom app, available for your desktop, browser or mobile device. Download Zoom here.

Students should log in 5 minutes before the start time to ensure an on-time virtual training. Any student who misses more than 10% of the class will be asked to retake the class to be awarded the Certificate of Completion.
